What is peer learning ?
Peer learning is learning in a collaborative way inside a peer group. Peers can be defined from the same roles, same tasks, same objectives, or same interests. Peer learning is different from the traditional training and e-learning in the following aspects:
How has our pedagogy been developed ?
The We Are Peers pedagogy was first developed as a new course at EMLYON business school, which became a pedagogical reference in the school in less than a year. Since then, WAP has been deployed in more than 15 higher education institutions and big company academies.
How does it work ?
We guide peer groups to share their knowledge through short, structured and productive sessions. Participants can create their own peer groups by themselves. The number of peer groups grows rapidly within 6 months.
What do we propose ?
We organize one or more launching sessions that last from 2 hours to one day, for groups of 5 to 150 participants. Launching sessions can take place during meetings, trainings or internal events.
SUPPORT FOR PEER GROUP LEARNING
We help group leaders to maintain a high level of involvement and acquire the facilitation technique to ensure successful learning over time.
Exemple of deployment in a company
The very first step is to select the groups within which to initiate peer learning.
A first session is organized with regional managers. Managers volunteer to lead their own group after the launching session.
CREATE LOCAL GROUPS
Leaders organize a session with their peers at the local level. They meet locally several times during a year.
SUPPORTING THE GROUPS
We support groups ito use our tools and facilitation technique
>> For the leaders to authenticate and access to their private space, create their sessions and personalize their session processes.
>> For participants to publish knowledge, vote, or join peer groups in real time. The web application is accessible with a simple link wap.live.
